Dulce de Leche

 Demam Dulce de Leche melanda DayBab... dok blog hoping beberapa hari lepas... pastu asyik dok terbaca pasal Dulce de Leche. Curiosity kills the cat.... so, Daybab pon dok cari tahu pasal benda nie... Apa kah dia.. dan mengapa menjadi kegilaan..??!!!

Dulce de leche is the most common name for milk caramel in Spanish. Made as both a thick jam and a caramel candy, it is prepared by slowly heating sweetened milk to create a product that derives its taste from caramelised sugar. ~ Dipetik dari Wikipedia...

Nak buat nye cukup lerr senang.... Tak banyak barang pon. 
  1. Susu pekat manis
  2. Air
  3. Pengukus


A home-made form of dulce de leche is sometimes made by boiling an unopened can of sweetened condensed milk for 2 to 3 hours (or 30 to 45 minutes in a Pressure cooker), particularly by those living in countries where it cannot be bought ready-made.  So, hari tu DayBab gi Hock Choon.. DayBab jumpa Susu Pekat Manis. Apalagi... beli 2 tin lerrrr... Penyediaan nye cukup mudah. Tanggalkan label yang ada pada tin. Pastu letak di dalam pengukus. Isikan air.. lebih sikit dari permukaan tin... make sure tin tu ditutupi dengan air. Kukus/masak selam 3 jam.


Ini lah dia hasil nye setelah 3 jam.... kalau sekali pandang, nampak macam serikaya... Rasa nye sungguh marvelous.. Lagi lama ia dimasak... lagi pejal lerr jadi nye...


Nie... DayBab dah buat Brownies... patut nye DayBab swirl kan Dulce de Leche tu... tapi, tadi dah ngap... memang sodap!!!

Daybab, so good to know that you have done this. I have been wanting to try tapi tak jumpa condensed milk, yg ada condensed creamer je kan.

So what did you eat it with. Ada a few cake recipes yang pakai Dulce de Leche ni. Nanti nak give it a try, bila wallahualam.

Condensed milk memang susah nak jumpa... tapi, memang berbaloi buat sebab sedap...

Buat cheesecake pon sodap... makan saja pon best... kalau tak, as ice-cream topping...

DayBab dah buat brownies with it... yummmmyyyyyy...
